DHS reportedly loses explosives in Phoenix airport

Excuse my language, but how fucking stupid is our government, really?

The Department of Homeland Security might need to change their name after this one.  According to TV News Lies, the DHS misplaced their own bomb during a live drill at the Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix last week.

First of all, live exercise or not, why would these morons plant an actual explosive in an American airport?  Make it look real, tell the drill participants it's real if you have to, but don't use an actual bomb!  Is it me, or does this seem elementary?  Here we are, crawling up on the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 lie, and they're planting bombs in airports.  For fuck's sake!  Seriously?!

You know, I can only think of one real reason the best and brightest security-leaning minds of this country would plant an actual bomb in an American airport - especially one that mysteriously "disappears".  It's no accident.  Sounds like a false flag in utero to me.

We should do away with the Department of Homeland "Security" - an entity about which NO ONE at any level knows all about.  How much money does it spend?  That's confidential.  Your sentator doesn't even know.  The CIA Director doesn't know.  How many agencies are there?  Well, they're not all on the books.  No one really knows.  How many employees does it have?  Again, NOBODY KNOWS!

But they're keeping us safe.  By planting actual bombs in American airports.  Then losing them.

Cue the national anthem.

2 news stories about massive wildlife deaths in Arkansas. Connected?

(Update Jan.5, 2011: Scientists struggling to explain massive worldwide wildlife deaths)

One of the first stories that caught my eye this morning was about a massive fishkill along the Arkansas River. Weird thing about it is only one species of fish died, the drum.  Of course, this happened a couple states downstream from where the river runs through my hometown of Wichita, KS - nevertheless, it makes me wonder what the cause may be.

Minutes after coming across that story, however, I'm accosted by another headline from the Washington Post about wildlife dying in droves in Arkansas.  In what seems like an aviary version of the ill-fated ABC drama FlashForward, more than 1,000 blackbirds just seemed to have dropped dead.  (Edit 4:20pm CST, 1.3.2011 - although initially reported to be 1,000 redwing blackbirds, the numbers have been changed to 4,000 to 5,000 birds.)

Could it just be coincidence?  Hardly likely.  Reason suspects a connection.  And why drum but not small-mouth bass?  Why blackbirds but not robins?  Such large numbers dead, but only a single species in each case.  How is it possible that 5,000 birds of only one species died together in one little section of Arkansas?  Thousands of fish die in one section of the Arkansas River, but only ONE species of fish.

It's all very weird.  I'd like to thank TV News Lies for bringing both stories to my attention.  I hope they'll pass along a connection to the events if one is found.

How Life Flows

I receive daily email updates from TV News Lies. By the way, I totally recommend subscribing to their newsletter. It's wicked informative, and easier than hunting for stuff on their website.

The trouble with TVNL is it's almost always chalk full of the real shit that's going on in this world. Almost always negative. Almost always depressing. Important! But depressing. People suck, and TVNL is there to tell you all about it.

But not all news is bad news. That's why there's Ode Magazine! Like TVNL's, it's a daily email called "And Now for the Good News..." I LOVE Ode's daily email! Unfortunately, there just doesn't seem to be as much good news in the world, but there are some real gems in there. You should subscribe and check it out.

Anyway, the point of this post was that after reading the headlines from TV News Lies, it just seems appropriate that my next email starts with the subject header "And Now for the Good News..."

That's how life flows sometimes. Hail serendipity.
